“Are a few gray hairs starting to make their presence known or are you ready for a new pick-me-up? Highlighting may be the answer to give you a color change, brighten dull hair, and camouflage a few gray hairs without binding you to monthly touch-ups.
To give your hair the appearance of being lightly kissed by the sun, try some subtle highlights. The most natural looking highlights are golden. It is wise to start with a shade no more than two shades lighter than you own hair color. If your natural shade is very dark, the highlights will be brown or red, giving an attractive contrast. Remember to use the word ‘subtle’ for sun kissed effects
Low lighting is my method of choice if you have a lot of gray hair and want to put the original color back in. Low lighting is used when you don’t want to darken every gray hair, but just take the color back a few years. Instead of using a highlighting preparation, a low lighting formula is applied to return your hair to its natural shade.”
